Wings, Tours and Tracklists: The Art Behind Our Designs

· Style & Merch

Our Aerosmith designs come from four places: the wings logo, the tours, the albums and Boston itself. Here's what each one shows, so you can find the one that fits you.

What's with the wings?

The winged logo, a circled A with a star between two wings and the band's flowing script name, is the most famous mark in our world. You'll find it plain in Red Wings, Gold A Wings and Orange Star Wings, as a patch-style Blue Army Boston design, and with a grey eagle in Eagle Wings.

Which tours do the designs remember?

  • American Tour '78: the singer at the mic, ringed by portraits in gold frames.
  • Draw the Line Tour: chrome lettering on the front and an IN CONCERT line on the back.
  • Night in the Ruts Tour Dragon: a painted dragon and five portraits.
  • Angel Permanent Vacation Tour: tattoo-style pin-ups for the 1987–88 tour, front and back.

Which albums get their own designs?

Toys in the Attic gets its painted parade of toys. Night in the Ruts gets a tracklist on the back, plus a drip design that spells out the joke in the title. Pump gets the truck and a circular tracklist, and Permanent Vacation gets flamingos and palms. The One More Time Tracklist and Yungblud designs cover our 2025 EP.

What about Boston?

We formed there in 1970, so the city shows up a lot: Boston Lobster, Bad Boys From Boston in rhinestone-style dots, and Ultimate Rock & Roll Since 1970 with its tall type on the back.

Each product page lists exactly what is on the front and the back. Ready to pick yours? Browse the collection.
